Brief Information
New Trolls has been one of the top Italian progressive rock bands, and they crossed many different styles, passing through beat, slight psychedelia, hard rock and melodic pop. They started in Genova, 1966, when former members of The Trolls decided to form a new band and they released their first album 'Senza orario senza bandiera' in 1968. At that time the band was the most actively performing group in Italy and it’s Hendrix-inspired guitarist Nico Di Palo was one of the first Italian guitar heroes.
In 1971, they released their greatest album 'Concerto Grosso No. 1' that's still recognized as one of the most important Italian rock releases ever made. This album was to take them in a new direction. It was the first effort in Italy to fuse rock music with classical treatments. This album became a million seller of the world. Also the ‘Adagio’ in the album has been the most requested number in Korea.
For the upcoming Korea visit in April 2007, three members from their heydays - Vittorio De Scalzi, Maurizio Salvi, Nico Di Palo - will visit and play their all time favorite songs including "Concerto Grosso No. 1 & 2" with a 15-member local orchestra. Specially, ALFIO VITANZA, the original drummer of 'Latte E Miele', also joins this concert.
